How to jailbreak iOS 9.3.3 with Pangu on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch

Good news, the PanguTeam surprised released a jailbreak of iOS 9.3.3 for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The new jailbreak tool is capable of untethered jailbreaking iOS 9.2 up to the latest iOS 9.3.3. As of right now the Chinese language version of the PanGu tool is available for download, whereas the English version will be released shortly.

According to PanGu’s official website the jailbreak only supports 64-bit devices and feeling sorry for iPhone 5 and iPhone 4s users because this new Jailbreak tool is not supported with 32-bit devices. Simply we can say devices below iPhone 5s are not supported with this Jailbreak tool. iPad support is also extended to first and second generation of iPad Air, iPad Mini 2/3 and 4 are also supported and obviously your iPad is also supported. This earlier or latest iPod Touch 6th generation is also supported.

Here are the official FAQs from Pangu’s website itself:

1. Jailbreak on the demand

The latest Pangu jailbreak tool allows the user to jailbreak iOS devices on the demand. The user can easily jailbreak the iOS devices by running the click-to-jailbreak app, and also easily remove the jailbreak by rebooting the iOS devices. In other words, the user has full control to enable or disable the jailbreak functionality.

2. Important! Be cautious, incompatible/untested tweaks may brick your iOS devices

Due to the model change of jailbreak, some tweaks may not be able to work on iOS 9.2 – iOS 9.3.3, and even brick your iOS devices. Be cautious with the tweaks you want to install, and make sure you already made a full backup of your iOS devices.

3. Unable to run Cydia and tweaks after reboot

Reboot will make your iOS devices back to un-jailbroken states. In order to use Cydia and tweaks after a reboot, you need to rerun the jailbreak app.

4. Jailbreak preparations

We successfully tested our jailbreak tools on all compatible devices, but we highly recommend you make a full backup of your iOS devices before using our tool.

5. Get the “storage almost full” warning after jailbreak

This warning message does not affect your iOS devices. You can just ignore it.

6. Unable to Jailbreak

Yes, it may happen. Please reboot and retry.

Step 4.  If prompted for an Apple ID, enter a dummy Apple ID account. This account is used for signing the jailbreak app that’s deployed to your device. I don’t recommend using your primary Apple ID with all of your personal data attached to it. Once you’ve entered the Apple ID, click the green button below the sign-in boxes and wait for the app to deploy to your iOS device. Once the process complete, click the green button to proceed.

Step 5. Once the installation is completed, you should see the PP Jailbreak app on your device’s Home screen. Go to Settings -> General -> Device Management and open the Pangu developer profile or the one that has the Apple ID you entered in step 4. Tap on the “Trust” button.

Step 6. Launch the PP Jailbreak app and accept push notifications.

Step 7. Tap on the circle button in the middle of the screen. Before that, you can uncheck the little box below the circle button to prevent PP Assistant from being installed on your device.

Step 8. Lock your device manually so that the jailbreak process starts. You will receive a notification once the jailbreak is completed successfully and Cydia starts to install. If you see a “Storage Almost Full” notification, simply ignore it.

Step 9. Now just wait for the Pangu app to install Cydia and clear things up. It will then resorting your device. After reboot, launch the PP Jailbreak app and it will tell you if the jailbreak is successful or not. If not, simply re-jailbreak from Step 1. Remember DO NOT uninstall the PP Jailbreak App or Cydia will crash at launch. Otherwise, you can launch Cydia and enjoy.

This Jailbreak Is A Semi-Tethered,  This means you will lose your jailbreak whenever you restart your device. Launch the Pangu app from the home screen and tap on the circular button to re-jailbreak again. You do not have to run the tool on your computer at all though, unlike a tethered jailbreak.
