Early today Saurik has just released a new update version of Cydia substrate brings improved compatibility for Pangu’s jailbreak of iOS 9.2 – iOS 9.3.3. Cydia Substrate is used by many tweaks to hook into the functionality of iOS and other applications.
Saurik provided a similar fix in the latest Cydia Substrate update focusing on the “installation target of extensions”. Other than the fix, Cydia Substrate update also modified the “volume up to disable” option. This will allow the feature to work flawlessly on devices running iOS 9.2 and later. Once your device boots up, pressing down on the volume up button while Pangu jailbreak app is being used would disable the substrate.
If you have already jailbroken your device, it’s important to update Cydia Substrate right now to prevent package installation issues. You can perform the update by going to Cydia, open the Changes tab and tap on Refresh button in top right corner. Once the sources have been refreshed, you should see Cydia Substrate under ‘Available Upgrades’. Open the package and update it.
