With iOS 12 Apple has made it easier for users to cut out distractions. In addition to introducing improved Do Not Disturb feature the business has also made it possible for users to readily turn off alarms for notifications belonging to certain apps.
A brand new ‘Deliver Quietly’ option has been added to notifications which Can be accessed directly from the lock screen. Users can slide on the telling banner to empower Deliver Quietly to get an app. The alarms will be delivered to consumer’s device 15, If this option is enabled. What this means is when a new notification arrives from the same app, it is going to show up in the Notification Center just like normal, but it will not appear on the lock screen and perform a sound or vibration.
Here’s how you can enable Deliver Quietly option for notifications on your iPhone or iPad.
- Slide left a telling belonging to the app you want to tap and silence ‘Manage’.
- From the next menu, tap ‘Deliver Quietly.
- Repeat these steps for all the apps you want to silence.
You can turn the notifications back to normal by following the same Steps over and this time choosing ‘Deliver Prominently’ from the menu. If you don’t have a pending notification for the app, then you can flip Alerts back on by going to Settings –> Notifications –> App and turn On alerts for lockscreen and its own sounds.
