A new jailbreaking tool by the name of Pangu has been released which jailbreaks iPhone, iPad and iPod touch on iOS 7.1 to iOS 7.1.1. If you’re on iOS 7.1 or later and want to jailbreak your device, the PanGu tool has been confirmed as working. The tool is currently support available for the Windows OS and Mac OS X. Please note Pangu is an untethered jailbreak for iOS 7.1 and iOS 7.1.1.

Here’s the list of compatible firmware version and the devices for Pangu jailbreak.

  • iOS 7.1 and iOS 7.1.1.
  • iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c.
  • iPad 2 or later, iPad Air, iPad mini.
  • iPod Touch 5G.


Guide To Untether Jailbreak iOS 7.1 Using Pangu for Mac OSX

Step 1. Download Pangu jailbreak from the above download link.

Step 2. Change your iOS device’s current date to ’2 June 2014′. To do so open Settings > General > Date and Time. Make sure ‘Set Automatically’ setting is turned off.


Step 3. Connect your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to computer.


Step 4. Open Pangu.dmg on your Mac and double click the Pangu icon to run the app. You should be presented with a screen like the one seen above.

Step 5. Follow the on-screen instructions. Jailbreak process will begin eventually, you’ll see Pangu app icon on your home screen. Tap the Pangu icon to launch the app on your device and wait patiently to let the jailbreak process to complete. Don’t unplug the device or close the app.


Step 6. Make sure to keep the device connected and do not close the app. Wait for your device to reboot several times, so be patient. Your device may reboot during the jailbreak process. Once the jailbreak process is completed, you should see “enjoy your new jailbreak message”. Unlock your device, and you should see Cydia on the Home screen.

That’s it! You ‘ve successfully jailbreak iOS 7.1.1 with Pangu jailbreak. Pangu should automatically rest your Date & Time settings to Set Automatically.
