iOS 11.3 Released for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch

Apple today released updates for iOS, tvOS, and watchOS, and now it has also called in new applications for its first smart speaker, the HomePod.

Apple has officially launched an update, as part of this iOS 11.3 launches, which may bring an update to the “audioOS” software that is running on the HomePod. Here is the first update to this smart speaker since the device went on sale back in February of this year. Regrettably, at the time of publication, there’s absolutely no word on what the new software update brings to the HomePod, or when there are any new features included in the combination.

It’s been rumored that Apple would include AirPlay two assistances into the smart speaker with this upgrade, though, so it is possible that the feature is part of this new upgrade. The release notes for the new update do not really go into any detail in what is included, therefore we might need to wait and watch for now.

iOS 11.3 is available as an Over-the-Air (OTA) upgrade, which means it can easily be installed by going to Settings > General > Software Update. Once you’re there, the iOS will check for the available upgrades. Adhere to the on-screen instruction to install the available iOS 11.3 upgrades.

Since iOS 11.3 is a milestone update, I would recommend you to clean install it on your device. Since the clean installation involved wiping the device, it is suggested to have a backup of your device either using iTunes or iCloud. When you’ve backed up all of your important apparatus, you can download the full-sized IPSW files in the download links below and flash it using iTunes.
